Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Underwriter, located in Sydney, NSW. The Assistant Underwriter will assist with evaluating and assessing insurance risks, providing support to brokers, preparing and reviewing policy documentation, and maintaining client records. The role involves daily collaboration with senior underwriters to ensure effective risk management and compliance with company standards.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of insurance principles and underwriting processes
  • Ability to assess and evaluate insurance risks effectively
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with relevant software applications and databases
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field is preferred
  • Previous experience in the insurance industry is a benefit
