About Us

Verve Events International is a reputable boutique events company that has been delivering high-end conference and incentive events for over 20 years. We're seeking an exceptional individual to lead our inspired team of event professionals and drive APAC expansion.

Job Summary: As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operational and strategic leadership of the company. You will oversee all aspects of the business, including event planning and execution, client relations, financial performance, team development, and business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement company goals and strategic plans in collaboration with the CEO.
  • Lead the Project Management team and oversee all aspects of event production, including planning, logistics, budgeting, and execution.
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of all events, exceeding client expectations and ahead of industry standards.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Oversee the selection, development, and implementation of technology solutions to support business operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of industry developments.
  • Develop and maintain a strong online presence and brand identity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in event management with at least 8 years in a managerial role.
  • Deep understanding of the event industry, including current trends, best practices, and competitive landscape.
  • Proven track record of success in managing complex projects and exceeding client expectations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans and budgets.
  • Experience in managing financial performance and driving profitability.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring high-performing teams.
