We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a wealth of experience to join our team and help shape the future of sustainability with world-changing innovations and low carbon technologies.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to take on a key development project in our Australian Asset Management team.

  • Inventory management, including decommissioned automation hardware.
  • Management of technology roadmaps for refining automation.
  • Support personnel management on-site.
  • Supplier contract management for PLC modernisation, technical support, and parts management.
  • Subject matter expertise for technical queries on-site and project-related.
  • Cybersecurity and risk management compliance for refining operations.
  • Project activities related to modernisation.
  • Wet commissioning - Testing of installed PLC systems before production.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Extensive experience in capital project execution, preferably.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Allen Bradley's Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Familiarity with modern-day fibre-optic networks such as Ethernet/IP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Automation Inventory Management: Manage inventory of decommissioned automation hardware.
  • Technology Roadmap Management: Develop and manage technology roadmaps for refining automation.
  • On-Site Support Personnel Management: Manage on-site support personnel.
  • SUPPLIER CONTRACT MANAGEMENT: Manage supplier contracts for PLC modernisation, technical support, and parts management.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise for technical queries on-site and project-related.
  • Cybersecurity and Risk Management: Ensure cybersecurity and risk management compliance for refining operations.
  • Modernisation Project Activities: Participate in project activities related to modernisation.
  • Wet Commissioning: Conduct wet commissioning - testing of installed PLC systems before production.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Extensive experience in capital project execution, preferably.
  • Skills: Demonstrated hands-on experience with Allen Bradley's Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and familiarity with modern-day fibre-optic networks such as Ethernet/IP.
