Solve the world's biggest challenges in water, energy and urbanisation.

With almost 90 years of experience, our team has been involved in dams since birth. We have the largest dedicated dams engineering team in Australia and one of the larger teams globally.

The size of these dams varies from small towns to large city water supply or industrial use.

You will be joining a group with extensive experience and an industry-leading profile in this sector working on various renewable energies and water infrastructure projects.

Drawing on your engineering qualifications and previous experience in consulting, you will be empowered and accountable for leading your own team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage and grow our Sydney Dams & Tailings team.
  • Manage performance, people, and resources.
  • Develop and achieve business plan objectives and targets aligned with GHD's strategy.
  • Establish strong collaboration with other Business Group Leaders and relevant Service Line Leaders nationally and globally.
  • Establish effective relationships with government and private sector clients.
  • Build a strong business development and winning work culture.
  • Lead technical and commercial direction on significant projects.
  • Develop and mentor a talented team of engineers.

Requirements:

  • Engaging and motivating skills backed by strategic problem-solving capabilities.
  • Deep relevant industry knowledge in dams & hydropower combined with strategy development skills.
  • Commercially astute with strong project delivery experience.
  • Passionately innovative with drive to evolve work methods.
  • High level market awareness and business development skills in water, resources and renewable energy markets.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
