Laboratory Professional

The applicant will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory investigations and analytical techniques, including evaluation and interpretation of data.
- Selection of laboratory investigations and analytical techniques, including evaluation and interpretation of data and limitations of testing
- Validation of laboratory results, reporting of flow cytometry, reading of immunofluorescence assay slides, evaluation of new tests and review protocols and policies
- Clinical liaison: provision of advice to clinicians on selection and interpretation of laboratory tests, liaison regarding critical results, preparation of materials for clinical review
The successful applicant will also participate in various activities, including staff education, laboratory operational meetings, research and development projects, and continued self-learning.
Key Requirements
- A medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent) with current registration the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APRHA)
- A current Victorian Working with Children Check Employee (WWCC)
- Previous experience in Chemical Pathology is desirable
