Job Title: Principal Project Engineering Specialist

Role Overview

This is a key position within our organization, focused on leading the planning, execution, and delivery of projects to meet client and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with project-specific regulations, industry standards, and quality assurance guidelines.
  • Support the Senior Project Engineer in compiling and submitting accurate and timely reports, including technical, scheduling, forecasting, and other deliverables.
  • Develop and manage technical documentation for tenders and contracts using Australian and industry standards.
  • Evaluate tenders during the pre-award phase according to Australian and industry standards and quality assurance requirements.
  • Prepare and conduct procurement, inspection, and expediting activities.
  • Contribute to execution strategies and methodologies for discipline-specific site construction contracts, including optimization techniques.
  • Provide proactive support to the Project Manager and team members to ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Ensure site construction adheres to project standards, scope, and specifications.
  • Offer sound technical advice on resolving technical queries, developing work scopes, and work packs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 7 years of postgraduate experience in a similar position, preferably within an EPCM environment.
  • Experience in site civil construction, particularly in mining infrastructure construction activities like tailings storage facilities, pre-strip mining, road construction, airstrip construction, and bulk earthworks (desired).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude and drive to achieve objectives through continuous professional development.
