About the RoleThe Council Planner position is a critical role in ensuring compliance with planning regulations and legislation. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Council Planner.
This role involves assessing development applications, preparing planning reports, and liaising with developers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth approval processes.
The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Australian planning legislation and standards, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assess development applications for compliance with planning regulation and legislation.
- Prepare planning reports and recommendations that meet Australian council guidelines.
- Liaise with developers, architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth approval processes.
- Coordinate with councils to interpret and apply planning schemes and legislation.
- Ensure deliverables meet the required standards and regulations.
- A degree in Town Planning or Urban Planning.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Australian planning legislation and standards.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
