Development Planning Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled planning professional to assist with various projects on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate development proposals for compliance with local planning regulations.
- Prepare comprehensive planning reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Interpret and apply relevant council planning schemes and legislation.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to ensure efficient project approval processes.
- Ensure deliverables meet Australian council guidelines.
The ideal candidate will possess a qualification in Town Planning or Urban Planning, with a minimum of 1 year experience (3+ preferred).
They must also have strong knowledge of Australian planning legislation & standards, hold an ABN, Public Liability & Professional Indemnity Insurance, and access to their own software, tools, and internet access.
Engagement Details:- Independent contractor role – not employment.
- Paid per project (hourly/fixed rates you propose).
- No guaranteed workload.
- All deliverables must meet Australian council guidelines.
