Highly Skilled Operations Manager Sought After

We are looking for a skilled and ambitious individual to join our team as an operations manager. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning and execution of projects across various sectors.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills. You will be working closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver exceptional results.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in project management, preferably in the resource or construction industries. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for this role.

You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of projects, managing resources effectively, and developing relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively plan works to ensure adequate resources and safe site conditions.
  • Directly accountable for setting up the worksite to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Develop relationships with clients to maximise business opportunities.
  • Effectively manage multiple jobs on site with several leading hands and/or sub-contractors.
  • Liaise with client representatives or sub-contractors on technical and minor contractual issues.
  • Responsible for ensuring daily pre-start meetings are held with all personnel working on the site.
  • Report all construction and technical issues immediately to the site engineering team.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary/Trade or suitably qualified.
  • At least five years' experience in construction works.
  • Experience in the resource (mining/oil & gas) industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with the firm's personnel and sub-contractors.
  • Strong HSE understanding and implementation skills.
