We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Residential Youth Services team. This role will provide a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people with complex needs.

About the Role

This residential youth worker will provide direct care and support to young people in a residential setting. The role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stable environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of the young people in our care.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Providing individual and group support to young people to enhance their life skills, self-esteem, and overall well-being;">
• Assisting young people with daily living tasks, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household chores;">
• Developing and implementing individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each young person;">
• Maintaining accurate records and reporting any concerns or incidents to the relevant authorities;">
• Participating in regular supervision and training sessions to ensure ongoing professional development;">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or equivalent qualification;

At least 2 years of experience working in a residential youth setting, preferably in a similar role;

Demonstrated ability to work effectively with young people who have complex needs and challenging behaviors;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young people, families, and other stakeholders;

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays;
