Job Title: Residential Care Worker

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Residential Care Worker. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and care to young people in our residential services.

Our Residential Services offer accommodation and support to children and young people who are referred through the child protection system. The successful candidate will participate in the day-to-day operation of the unit, responding to the young person's emotional and functional needs, developing their personal skills, and completing administrative requirements and household duties.

The position is based in Dandenong, VIC, within our Out of Home Care Program. You will report to the Residential House Supervisor.

Key Selection Criteria
  • A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications) is highly regarded.
  • A genuine interest in young people and their wellbeing is essential.
  • Demonstrate empathy for young people in our care in an open-minded and non-judgmental manner.
  • Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation, including the capacity to set and maintain consistent boundaries to provide safety, stability and consistency.
