Job Title: Executive Manager District Coordination

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Manager to lead our district coordination efforts. This role will be responsible for overseeing operations across multiple area offices, driving excellence in prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery activities for bushfires and other emergencies.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in leadership, with experience in managing teams and coordinating large-scale incidents. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with volunteers, stakeholders, and other teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage RFSQ operations during large-scale multi-agency incidents and disasters within the district
  • Oversee resources to ensure general operational capacity and capability across the district
  • Coordinate Chief Fire Wardens and lead the bushfire season debrief for the district
  • Provide district input into capability planning, regional strategic and operational planning
  • Support activities that ensure the achievement of performance requirements for the district
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Experience in managing teams and coordinating large-scale incidents
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with volunteers, stakeholders, and other teams
  • Knowledge of or experience in resource management appropriate to volunteers for the prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery phases in community support
