Corrections Victoria is responsible for implementing policies, programs, and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners and seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing underlying causes of offending behavior.

">About the Role">

As a Correctional Officer at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, you will specialize in one of four streams: Records/Property, Finance/Stores, and Administration. Over time, you may be rotated between these streams to provide career enhancement opportunities and operational flexibility.

This position requires direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, which would be remunerated accordingly.

">Key Responsibilities">

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Collating Case Management Review Committee schedules and communicating scheduling to the location.">
  • Providing secretariat services for a range of Case Management Review Committee Meetings.">

  • A well-developed computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.">
  • Ability to notate meeting discussions accurately.">

  • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations.">
  • Demonstrated experience in and/or understanding of working within a correctional environment is desirable.">
  • Qualifications: Previous experience in case management and/or administrative experience is desirable but not mandatory.">
