Financial Manager

We are seeking an experienced Financial Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the financial operations of our organization, with a focus on strong internal controls, compliance, and high-quality financial reporting.

The Financial Manager will lead and manage the financial operations of the organisation, maintaining effective internal control frameworks that protect the integrity of financial data, ensuring compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations, and safeguarding the company's financial and operational assets.

The role is accountable for the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports and analysis, providing insights that enable the leadership team to make confident, well-informed strategic decisions.

The position will collaborate closely with finance staff and cross-functional teams across all business units to uphold financial discipline, maintain compliance with Australian financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain effective internal control frameworks that protect the integrity of financial data
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory obligations
  • Safeguard the company's financial and operational assets
  • Prepare financial reports and analysis to support decision-making

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of financial, accounting and legal principles, requirements, practices and procedures, ideally with some exposure and or experience in agriculture/livestock production sectors
  • Degree qualified, plus CPA or CA qualified. Proficient in AASB
  • Thorough understanding of business finances and levers and the ability to translate these into practice
  • Proficiency in Microsoft accounting software (Dynamics 365) and associated platforms
  • Experience in change management and implementation of ERP systems.
