
Community Resilience Specialist

This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing community resilience against emergencies and disasters.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating emergency response plans, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and coordinate emergency management initiatives to enhance community resilience
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective disaster preparedness and response strategies
- Champion a culture of safety and collaboration throughout the organisation and the community
The successful candidate will have a degree in Emergency Management or a related field, combined with ongoing professional development. They will also possess a current Class C Driver's Licence, proven experience in similar roles within government or emergency management agencies, and strong relationship-building and negotiation skills in complex political environments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating emergency response plans
- Collaborating with various stakeholders to foster a comprehensive approach to emergency preparedness and response
- Assessing risks and facilitating training and drills to enhance community readiness
