Wine Connoisseur Opportunity

Cibaria Noosa, a contemporary Italian dining experience, invites a skilled Wine Connoisseur to lead our wine team. This esteemed role offers the chance to excel in a dynamic and social environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage inventory with precision and craft an exceptional wine list in collaboration with chefs and General Manager.
  • Supervise wine service, building relationships with winemakers and suppliers for optimal selections.
  • Train sommeliers and wine waiters to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
  • Curate special wine dinners and events that impress guests.
  • Guide customers on perfect wine pairings for every occasion and budget.

Requirements:

  • Australian working rights and a current QLD RSA certificate.
  • In-depth knowledge of wine and food pairing, with a focus on Italian, French, and Australian wines.
  • Solid understanding of COGS and formal hospitality qualifications (minimum WSET Level 3).
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
