Federal Government Affairs Specialist

Chevron Australia is seeking a skilled Federal Government Affairs Advisor to join its Policy, Government and Public Affairs team in Canberra.
This permanent role will report to the Government Affairs Manager and be responsible for advising on federal government policy and regulatory environments that impact Chevron Australia's business needs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead research and assessment of federal government policy issues, legislation, and regulation to provide policy advice.
- Provide expertise on federal policy intersections with state government policy.
- Coordinate policy and regulatory reform consultation processes and submissions on behalf of Chevron Australia.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key federal government agency stakeholders and represent Chevron on industry policy committees and forums.
- Ensure internal stakeholders are informed of future government policy developments.
We're looking for a motivated and talented individual with experience in policy design, development, and assessment, preferably in the energy sector.
Applicants should have well-developed analytical and research skills, experience working with federal government agencies, and a strong understanding of the social and political landscape.
