Life Skills Coach

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Life Skills Coach to join our team in Ballarat. As a valued member of our organization, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals with disabilities to achieve their full potential.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for implementing personalized therapy plans, providing support and guidance to clients, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team. You will work closely with participants, families, and caregivers to identify goals, develop strategies, and track progress.
Key Responsibilities- Implementing therapy plans and providing individualized support to clients
- Collaborating with our multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care
- Communicating effectively with participants, families, and caregivers
- Conducting regular assessments and evaluations to track client progress
- Participating in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year)
- Alternatively, a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification, with demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Consistent and ongoing availability to work, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel to regional areas as required
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Valid Australian driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Children's Check
