Life Skills Coach

As a Life Skills Coach at Everyday Independence, you will be part of a dynamic team committed to changing the game for people with disabilities.
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated individual to support NDIS participants in Ballarat and surrounding areas. You will work at participant's home or a community location, supporting individuals across all ages and stages of life.
Under the guidance of the primary therapist, you will play a vital part in enabling the participant to develop greater independence and work towards reaching their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Implement therapy plans provided by primary therapists to support participants in achieving their goals.
- Work with participants to develop skills and strategies for independent living, social engagement, and healthy habits.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support for participants.
- Be studying a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year) OR have completed a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification with demonstrated experience.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence and empathy when working with participants.
- Have consistent and ongoing availability to work, including afternoons and evenings.
- Be available to travel to regional/surrounding areas as required.
