Activity Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic and caring Activity Assistant to join our team. As an Activity Assistant, you will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging in-centre activities and external outings that cater to clients' interests.

The Opportunity

This permanent part-time role works 60.8 hours per fortnight, Monday to Thursday, based at our centre with occasional work at other centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver engaging in-centre activities and external outings that cater to clients' interests;
  • SUPPORT AN ENVIRONMENT THAT PROMOTES SOCIAL PARTICIPATION, PERSONAL INDEPENDENCE, WELLNESS, AND LIFELONG LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PARTICIPANTS;
  • Transport clients to and from outings using a small van;
  • Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve client outcomes;
The Requirements
  • Qualification (or working towards) in Community Services Certificate III Aged Care and/or related fields;
  • Experience working in group social support, creating and delivering fun and stimulating activities for vulnerable target groups;
  • Knowledge of program planning and monitoring;
  • Strong computer skills and ability to complete administration tasks;
  • A driver's licence with comfortability driving a van (MR license or willingness to obtain is desirable); and
  • First aid certificate (HLTAID009 and HLTAID010) or willingness to obtain.
