**Role Summary**:
The Social Procurement Specialist is a newly created opportunity in our Supply Chain team based at our Perth CBD office.

The purpose of the role is to support Synergy to engage with suppliers that meet our social procurement objectives, including aboriginal procurement, modern slavery, local / regional procurement, environmental/sustainable procurement and women owned enterprise procurement.

You will bring knowledge, experience, and expertise in relation to supplier diversity and identify opportunities to create inclusive and diverse supply chains through social procurement efforts.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Supporting the development of procurement strategies, policies and processes to advance positive social impact.
- Social procurement opportunities analysis and be a key contributor to the development of Synergy's aboriginal procurement strategy.
- Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement programs that increase Indigenous participation in procurement processes.
- Driving the integration of sustainability and social impact into procurement processes, including the selection and evaluation of suppliers and the development of procurement contracts.

**What you'll bring**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Strategic Procurement, Supply Chain, sustainability or similar and /or relevant experience
- 5-10 years in a procurement specialist, category manager or other similar procurement / supply chain role
- 5 years' experience in driving social procurement outcomes
- Deep understanding of social procurement concepts including aboriginal procurement local / regional procurement, modern slavery, environmental/sustainability procurement issues
- Demonstrated experience in projects that require a continuous improvement mindset
