About the RoleThe School of Medicine, Sydney is seeking an experienced administrative professional to support the design, alignment, and delivery of the Basic and Clinical Sciences (BCS) curriculum in the Foundation Years. As the BCS Curriculum Officer, you will provide critical administrative support to the Head of BCS Domain, ensuring the smooth delivery of teaching activities.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate curriculum timetabling for all BCS lectures, practical sessions, workshops, and tutorials across the Foundation Years program (Year 1 and Year 2).
- Provide administrative support to the Head of BCS Domain, including coordinating lecturer invitations, lab tutors, and demonstrators' recruitment, contracts, and allocation.
- Prepare materials for all BCS teaching activities, such as prelab online readings, practical manuals, workshop and tutorial notes, and online quizzes.
- Support in planning the yearly teaching calendar, including all BCS teaching activities.
- Contribute to the organisation and delivery of orientation programs, in conjunction with Medical Education Unit members.
- Maintain the curriculum mapping and management system.
- Comply with all reasonable training and duties identified by the line manager.
We are looking for an individual with:
- A degree qualification with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education/training.
- Demonstrated administrative experience in tertiary or health education sectors.
- Excellent attention to detail, planning, prioritizing, and time management skills.
- Self-motivation and flexibility, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Clear and concise written communication, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Independent judgment, initiative, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High computer literacy and advanced user knowledge in Outlook, Microsoft Office suite, learning management systems, and enterprise systems.
