Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with a strong background in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF) to become a vital part of our national specialist team.
This dynamic team is continually adapting to meet client needs and fosters a supportive and energetic work atmosphere. You will have the chance to advance your career on your own terms, with direct access to leadership and a transparent career development framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and management of SMSF Financial Statements, Annual Returns, and Member Statements, including Trustee Minutes and Section Notices
- Preparation and management of SMSF BAS, IAS, and PAYG Payment Summaries
- Collaboration with external auditors and regulatory bodies
- Providing consultative advice to colleagues and escalating compliance issues as necessary
- Assisting in the development of Statements of Advice (SOAs)
Qualifications and Skills
The ideal candidate will possess a strong service orientation and a commitment to continuous improvement, taking pride in their work and focusing on client satisfaction.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience in the Australian SMSF sector
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in report writing and presentations
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, particularly in financial data interpretation
- A willingness to engage with teams and clients on a national scale
- Intermediate to advanced IT skills, preferably with experience in Class Super
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications or professional accreditations in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent overseas qualifications
