Leadership Role – Outside of School Hours Care

Join our leadership team and take on a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our outside of school hours care service.

This part-time position requires a leader who can manage staff, handle administrative responsibilities, and ensure high-quality care while maintaining full compliance with industry standards.

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day running of the service
  • Managing staff and supporting their growth and development
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards

To excel in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership skills, excellent time management abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. You will also need to have:

  • Relevant educational qualifications
  • Solid experience in leadership roles within early childhood education or similar industries
  • Extensive experience in early childhood care & education services
  • A clear understanding of industry standards, compliance, and best practices
  • Up-to-date knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and practices

Key Selection Criteria:
1. Qualifications & Leadership Experience: Relevant educational qualifications and solid experience in leadership roles within early childhood education or similar industries.
2. Industry Know-How: Extensive experience in early childhood care & education services and a clear understanding of industry standards, compliance, and best practices.
3. Strong Regulatory Knowledge: A clear understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations, the National Quality Framework (NQF), the My Time, Our Place Framework, and industry standards, compliance, and best practices.
4. Legislative Awareness: Up-to-date knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation and practices, and the Children and Young Person's (Care and Protection) Act.
5. Tech-Savvy Mindset: Confidence using digital tools, online platforms, and Child Care Management Systems (e.g. Hubworks).
6. Child Safety Focus: Completed Child Protection / Child Safe training and a strong understanding of safeguarding practices.
7. Specific Requirements: A current Working with Children Check (WWCC), a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, and Australian work eligibility.
