Overview

Kirinari Community Services has a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career in our well-recognised, rapidly expanding and essential support service. This position is a Full Time Team Leader role responsible for leading a team of Complex Disability Support Workers within the Complex Care Team across Out of Home Care (OOHC), Voluntary OOHC and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). The team supports people who experience challenging behaviours with a focus on trauma-informed care and trauma recovery.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Complex Disability Support Workers to provide clients with consistency, support and safety through their individual care plans.
  • Work within Kirinari's strength-based, non-punitive, therapeutic model of care.
  • Ensure safety and support for clients while identifying and supporting growth needs.
About the Position

This is a Full Time role, 76 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

About You
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field is highly regarded
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience in an equivalent role
  • Strong interest in mental health and the disability industry
  • Understanding of strength-based trauma-informed practice framework
  • Previous experience in residential therapeutic care and complex trauma is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to use computers and learn a variety of software/programs
  • Smartphone
  • Current Driver's Licence
