Job Description

We are seeking an Investment Risk Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the service delivery of Aladdin, a primary risk system. They will also maintain internal investment risk and ALM models to a high standard, ensuring they are fit for use.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage Service Delivery: Oversee the daily operation of Aladdin, ensuring it meets the required standards.
  • Maintain Investment Risk Models: Develop and maintain accurate investment risk models, taking into account various market and economic factors.
  • Review and Optimize: Regularly review existing and proposed ALM systems, documents, and activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Ensure Compliance: Verify that all investment risk management processes align with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Reporting and Communication: Produce and present risk metrics to various forums and executive committees, effectively communicating complex concepts.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Actuarial studies, Mathematics, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 5 years' experience working in the Finance, Investments, or Life Insurance sectors, with a strong background in investment risk management.
  • Skills: Strong financial modeling skills, knowledge of life insurance regulatory capital standards, and excellent communication and articulation abilities.
  • Initiative and Adaptability: Demonstrate a proactive approach to developing new processes and resolving complex issues.
