About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Allambi Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a critical role in supporting young people who identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care and support to clients in various settings, including homes, schools, hospitals, and community centers.
  • Build relationships with clients and their families, and work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Administer medication, transport clients to appointments, and assist with daily living tasks.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of programs designed to support the growth and development of clients.
  • Contribute to a team environment that values diversity, inclusivity, and cultural safety.

Requirements
  • A current Working with Children Check.
  • A current NDIS Worker Check.
  • A current First Aid Certificate.
  • A National Police Check.
  • A current driver's license and a vehicle that can transport upwards of 4 people.
  • Comprehensive car insurance.
  • A Certificate of Completion: NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Ability to work a 7-day shift work roster.
  • Willingness to participate in pre-employment medical checks.
  • Two professional references.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Diploma of Community Services.
  • Bachelor of Human Services.
  • Diploma level (or higher) qualification in a relevant field of study.
