About the Role

This position is for a motivated and dedicated Case Worker to join our Fostering and Permanency team at Allambi Care, a leading provider of out-of-home care services in NSW.

As a Case Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support to children, young people, and their carer families. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Case Management: Develop and implement effective case plans, leaving care plans, and aftercare plans with the child or young person, carers, birth family, and relevant professionals.
  2. Casework: Provide support to a child or young person in care, including home visits, trauma-informed care education, behaviour support strategies, and advocacy.
  3. Court Preparation: Prepare organisational reports and court material, including S82 reports and affidavits, to a high standard and in a timely manner.
  4. Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, carer families, and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring a high level of understanding and support.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Community Services or a related discipline
  • Experience in case management and/or working with families or children and young people
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of OOHC policies, procedures, and legislation
