About the Role

The Community Support Worker will provide support and guidance to individuals in their homes and in the community, promoting their goals for independence. The role involves working with a variety of clients, including children and young people, and requires a high level of assessment skills, information gathering, problem-solving, and evaluation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and guidance to individuals in their homes and in the community
  • Assess and implement individual support plans
  • Work with clients to identify and achieve their goals
  • Provide advocacy and support to clients and their families
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support

Requirements:

  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • A current driver's licence
  • A current Working with Children's Check Clearance
  • Comprehensively insured motor vehicle that can transport a minimum of 4 people
  • National Police Check (issued within the last 6 months)
  • NDIS Workers Check
  • High level of assessment skills together with information gathering, problem-solving, and evaluation skills
  • Ability to manage challenging situations while applying policy, procedure, and legislation to deliver services to children and people with high and complex needs
