Airwallex is a unified payments and financial platform that empowers global businesses to manage everything from business accounts, payments, and treasury to embedded finance at a global scale.

The Role

We are establishing a state-of-the-art lending platform and building a suite of related credit products, including customer-facing credit cards. As a member of our Cards team, you will revolutionize the way businesses issue credit cards and manage expenses for their employees.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our payment platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features and solve complex challenges around data and feature complexity in credit cards and expenses.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline
  • Solid understanding of back-end and front-end development and best practice
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on low-latency, distributed systems
  • Experience managing and mentoring a team of engineers
  • Experience with back-end technologies such as Java, Kotlin, Spring/Spring Boot
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, comfortable working with customers, partners, and the Airwallex Engineering team to develop new products and solutions
  • Executive engagement skills and presence, with an ability to establish strong relationships with key decision-makers and build credibility at all levels
