Key Responsibilities:

The role of the Store Person is crucial for ensuring a safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our facility. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain accurate inventory levels through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and transaction reporting.
  • Utilize warehouse systems to record movements of finished goods, and in-process inventory.
  • Ensure full traceability of product through proper labelling and documentation.
  • Load and unload export containers and local shuttle trucks, ensuring proper stacking, temperature integrity, and product security.
  • Coordinate and prepare pallets for dispatch, segregating by export vs. local destination.
  • Operate forklifts and reach trucks to safely handle frozen pallets, stack products, and optimise space usage in the cool store.
  • Conduct daily equipment and temperature checks to maintain cold chain compliance.
  • Rotate stock in accordance with FIFO principles and site requirements.
  • Immediately isolate and report any non-conforming, damaged, or temperature-abused products
  • Follow site safety protocols, including correct use of PPE and manual handling practices.
  • Report near-misses, hazards, and equipment issues proactively.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready work environment.
  • Communicate with the Production, Quality, and Transport teams to align schedules and resolve logistics issues.

This position requires a reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented individual with strong communication and teamwork skills. Previous experience in warehousing, inventory, or logistics operations is highly desirable.
