Financial Strategy Coordinator

About the Role

The Financial Strategy Coordinator is a key position that plays a crucial role in shaping and implementing financial planning across our organisation. This permanent, full-time role involves leading the Finance Business Partnering team and driving financial capability across the Council.

The successful candidate will have strong experience in financial strategy development, including creation of long-term financial plans. They will also possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to prepare accurate, insightful financial reports and analysis to guide executive planning.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the Finance Business Partnering team and drive financial capability across the Council.
  2. Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organisational goals.
  3. Prepare and deliver accurate, insightful financial reports and analysis to guide executive planning.
  4. Model financial scenarios and assess the impact of service delivery changes.
  5. Support ongoing improvements to reporting tools, dashboards, KPIs, and performance frameworks.
Requirements
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a senior finance role.
  • Proven experience in financial strategy development and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
