Job Title: Network Infrastructure Specialist
Job Description:
A leading national service provider is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying and removing OPTUS HFC Network, installing and removing service drop cables, and working off ladders to identify hazards and rectify them where possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveying of telecommunications network identifying hazards and rectifying where possible from a ladder or escalating for additional resource support.
- Responding to network faults/hazards (remove/make safe network cables)
- Willing and able to be part of a rostered-On Call Availability, including working outside normal working hours on a regular basis.
- Communicate/report on scheduled works changes or to Field Supervisor.
- Participate in actual site start up (i.e., mandatory pre-start activities)
- Work in coordination with related 3rd parties such as landowners and regulatory authorities (e.g., power utility, council & transport).
Requirements:
- Hold a current Driver's license
- Construction OH&S Induction Card
- Experience in an Infrastructure Services environment
- Experience in the Telecommunications industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel & Outlook
- Good communication skills
- Ability to respond calmly and decisively during a major incident or emergency
- Ability to work autonomously within teams.
