Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team and lead the development of our government vertical at both federal and state levels. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing and managing government sales revenue, driving business development, and achieving strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities- Be the subject matter expert on all things Public Sector, providing strategic advice and supporting the broader team in government relations.
- Grow, manage and retain Government sales revenue, responsible for new sales and retention, covering specifically the state and local government sector in ACT and NSW.
- Drive business development, forecast accurately, and achieve strategic goals by leading customers through the entire business cycle.
- Build and deepen executive relationships with government clients to help us grow.
- Influence long-term strategic direction and serve as a business partner.
- Negotiate and manage complex agreements via the entire cycles, presenting to C-level executives in corporate and global customers.
- Experience working within Australia's ICT industry.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong selling skills with the ability to convert leads to sales and close deals.
- Exceptional networking skills and the ability to build a solid contact base.
- Strong desire to succeed with passion and energy with the ability to negotiate, consult and deliver quality service.
- Ability to work with and present to C-level executives.
- Australian Citizenship required for Security Clearances. NV1 desired or the preparedness to obtain that level of clearance.
- Extensive experience of the Public Sector, selling through partners or directly, with relationships and focus on local public sectors.
- Deep understanding of the Government procurement process at the federal and state level.
- Solid selling experience to organisations that utilise IT Infrastructure as a major component of their business model.
- Experience within industries that deal with Information Technology, Software, Hardware, Solutions and associated Services with a demonstrated track record of exceeding goals.
- Experience in the management of business relationships with customers in a customer-facing role.
- Proven track records in selling within a complex selling environment with large commercial and legal negotiations.
