Pacific National is a leading rail freight provider in Australia, with a strong commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. We are seeking an experienced Terminal Operator to join our team at one of our terminal locations.

About the Role

">

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and planning the efficient assembly and dismantling of trains within the terminal. This will involve working closely with other teams to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Coordinate the movement of trains within the terminal, ensuring safe and efficient operations;">
  • Work with other teams to plan and execute train movements, including shunting and train examination duties;">
  • Operate fork lift and gantry cranes as required;">
  • Maintain accurate records of train movements and cargo details;">
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements;">
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders;">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • ">
  • A current LF licence (Forklift);">
  • A current gantry crane licence is an advantage;">
  • Strong commitment to enforcing a safety culture;">
  • Ability to work in a dynamic 24/7 shift work environment with flexibility and commitment;">
  • Excellent communication skills and team focus;">
  • Hold a current motor vehicle license and have a good mechanical aptitude;">

Salary

$65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This role will be based at one of our terminal locations across Australia.
