About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Land Use Planner to join our team at Planning Institute Australia. As a key member of our planning team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our community through the development and implementation of sustainable land use planning controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Local Environmental Plan, Development Control Plan, and Development Contribution Plan.
  • Manage the Urban Release Area Program to ensure land is rezoned in a timely and coordinated manner.
  • Negotiate and prepare Planning Agreements for the delivery of land or assets by external parties associated with future development.
  • Develop and implement high-quality community engagement programs relating to Land Use Planning projects.
Requirements
  • Qualifications and previous experience in Urban and Regional Planning (or similar).
  • Extensive knowledge of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and other relevant legislation.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a commitment to motivating and empowering others.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $105,000 - $120,000 p.a. plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience).
  • A vehicle arrangement will be made with the successful candidate for this role.
