Key Mine Engineering Role

A highly skilled Extractive Operations Professional is sought to assume responsibility for key mine engineering activities at a leading mining operation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective mine designs, dump designs, mining methods, equipment needs and recovery strategies
- Lead production scheduling activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and efficient operations
- Conduct ventilation surveys to maintain a safe working environment
- Drive short, medium and long-term planning activities, aligning with the company's strategic objectives
- Design and develop drill and blast plans to optimize productivity and minimize risks
- Analyze mining methods and equipment to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance overall efficiency
- Monitor day-to-day mining operations against established plans and quality control standards
- Support the review of operating costs against budget and contribute to cost optimization initiatives
- Undertake project work as required, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver results
- Perform any other duties specified by senior management or delegate
To be considered for this role, you will possess a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations, proficiency in mine planning and scheduling software, and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
