As a Graduate Mining Engineer at Westgold Resources, you will embark on a comprehensive 2-year program that offers hands-on experience across multiple mine sites in Western Australia. This dynamic role is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in mining engineering.

Job Responsibilities
  • You will participate in a tailored mentoring program, receive technical development, and undergo role-specific training as part of our graduate program.
  • You will complete rotations across six underground mines and four processing plants in the Murchison and Southern Goldfields regions.
  • This role requires you to gain practical underground experience necessary for obtaining the First Class Mine Managers Certificate.
  • You will collaborate with seasoned professionals to develop highly sought-after mining skills.
  • You will work an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster based in Perth.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • To be considered for this role, you must have a Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering.
  • Practical experience or vacation work in the field of mining engineering is advantageous.
  • You must possess strong computer literacy skills and excellent communication skills with all levels of operation.
  • A current and valid Manual Driver's Licence and National Police Clearance valid within the last 12 months are also required.
  • In addition, you must be able to pass Westgold's pre-employment process, including medical, drug and alcohol screening, and right to work checks.
