
Strategic Partnerships Leader

This role plays a pivotal part in enhancing the commercial standing of the University's commercial partnerships.
The ideal candidate will lead the management and delivery of USU's commercial partnerships, ensuring strong alignment with strategic objectives, timely execution, and contractual compliance.
About the Position- This is a permanent full-time role requiring 35 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing collaborative partnerships and leading proactive account management to drive retention. They will coordinate cross-functional teams to execute high-impact activations and campaigns, monitor and report on partnership performance, and leverage insights to improve delivery and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and deliver USU's commercial partnerships end-to-end by ensuring contractual compliance, timely execution, and strong alignment with strategic objectives.
- Act as the main relationship manager for partners, developing collaborative partnerships and leading proactive account management to drive retention.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to execute high-impact activations and campaigns.
- Monitor and report on partnership performance, leveraging insights to improve delivery and identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fulfill commercial obligations, optimise product offerings, and identify new revenue opportunities.
- Represent the organisation in key forums and contribute to strategic planning, compliance, and governance activities.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years' experience in partnerships, sales, or marketing roles.
- Proven experience managing commercial and sponsorship agreements, including negotiating contracts and delivering mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to navigate legal agreements and achieve financial targets.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills, including managing cross-functional or virtual teams.
