Role Overview

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and leading the daily activities within the Flinders Warehouse and Distribution (FWD) Warehouse. This includes cargo handling, import/export processes, and ensuring efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate key plant and coordinate with team members on operational aspects of FWD operations;
  • Responsible for training and guiding new warehouse employees, ensuring jobs are completed to an acceptable standard;
  • Coordinate import/export processes of bulk, packaged, palletised, and high-volume cargo;
  • Commit to ongoing safety improvements, including implementation of specific policies and procedures;
  • Ensure compliance with WH&S, Quality, Maritime Security, and Environmental systems;
  • Conduct JSEAs and participate in risk assessments for new work processes.

About You

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Forklift Licence (LF), Reach Stacker (RS), and Licence to perform Dogging (DG);
  • Certificate IV in Warehousing Operations and/or Frontline Management equivalent level of skills and knowledge gained through experience;
  • Experience in the logistics and transport industry;
  • Experience leading and developing teams;
  • Advanced interpersonal and communications skills;
  • Sound working knowledge of distribution facility duties;
  • Understanding of quality control standards.
