Job Title: Business Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Manager to join our Finance team within the Women and Babies' Division. The successful candidate will be accountable for providing expert business advice, analysis and support, developing and implementing strategic plans, monitoring of the Division's performance, and overseeing Human Resource systems.

The Business Manager plays a vital role in the effective operation and viability of the Division and will be required to contribute to management, service planning, monitoring and analysing Divisional performance, providing business planning and management services, assisting with the provision of a Human Resource function for the Division, identifying business opportunities, coordinating and managing staff as delegated, implementing, managing and monitoring financial policies and procedures, and benchmarking Divisional performance internally and externally.

To be successful in this role, you will have an appropriate Degree or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Economics (or related financial/business management field) majoring in accounting, and the following:

  • Highly developed analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to develop accurate management reports.
  • Financial management skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to function in an environment of dynamic change and financial constraint.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial/budget management.
  • Experience in the effective development, implementation and management of forecasts in a large complex organisation within a framework of critical corporate objectives and in consideration of operational, political, financial and strategic issues.
