Halcyon Knights, a leading provider of specialized security services, is seeking an experienced EL1 Security Training Specialist to join our team based in Canberra, ACT. This 12-month contract role involves designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive security training programs for staff both domestically and internationally.
About the Role
- Deliver engaging presentations and facilitate interactive security training sessions for DFAT staff and external agencies.
- Design and implement innovative learning solutions that cater to diverse needs and cultural backgrounds.
- Develop and manage training curricula across multiple modalities, including face-to-face, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning.
- Analyze and review training programs to ensure alignment with DFAT and DSD's strategic objectives.
- Develop strategic plans, outcome briefs, and high-level executive briefs to support organizational goals.
- Identify and address security training gaps through continuous improvement efforts.
- Manage training scheduling, enrollment, and attendance records using Lumi.
- Educate colleagues on the application of security policies and procedures.
- Liaise with stakeholders to refine training requirements and develop targeted solutions.
- Contribute to the development and management of the Diplomatic Security Officer Development Program.
- Support the preparation of briefing materials and policy guidance documents.
About You
- Hold a qualification or demonstrated experience in training and assessment.
- Possess experience in Protective Security and knowledge of overseas security environments.
- Demonstrate ability to interpret and apply security policies, providing expert guidance as needed.
- Meet the requirement for a current Australian Government Negative Vetting Level 2 (NV2) Security Clearance prior to commencement.
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you are passionate about security and training, we encourage you to apply.
