About the Role

As a Correctional Services Professional with the Department of Justice, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals within the community who require guidance and rehabilitation. This position involves conducting interviews, home visits, and assessments to provide accurate and timely advice to courts and parole boards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct Assessments and Interviews: Meet with offenders to discuss their behavior and develop strategies for reducing reoffending.
  • Develop Individual Management Plans: Create personalized plans to support offenders in achieving their goals and reintegrating into society.
  • Manage Offender Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of offender interactions and progress.
  • Liaise with Stakeholders: Collaborate with other professionals, including court officials, social workers, and community leaders, to ensure a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.
  • Support Through-Care Programs: Assist in the development and implementation of programs designed to support offenders during their transition back into the community.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Tertiary Qualification: A relevant degree or equivalent experience is essential for this role.
  • Driver's License: A current driver's license is required, as travel may be involved in this position.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $83,000 - $110,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
