Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Exercise Physiologist to join our team as a Rehabilitation Consultant in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Sydney Metro area.

In this diverse role, you will have the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, working closely with a strong and close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals.

As a Rehabilitation Consultant, you will provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of conditions, both physical and psychological, and support them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.

This opportunity stands out as you will also get exposure delivering some of IPAR's innovative services, including our pain education Re-thinking Recovery program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Case management, with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks;
  • Applying your clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Working with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals;
  • Completing a variety of assessments using your clinical and discipline-specific allied health skills;
  • Delivering our innovative virtual reality pain education program, Re-thinking Recovery.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in Exercise Physiology, registration with ESSA, and SIRA Accreditation;
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills, with a focus on getting to know clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion, kindness, and empathy essential;
  • Well-developed time management skills and a current NSW Driver's License with comprehensive insurance required.
