Renewable Energy Operations Leader

This role involves leading technical commissioning and operations and maintenance activities for BESS assets in a growth environment. Key to success is establishing and leading a team of para-professional and technical field staff responsible for commissioning and O&M activities.
- Oversee the safe and effective commissioning and day-to-day operation of BESS assets deployed across the network and in the external commercial market.
- Drive operational excellence, technical performance, and asset reliability from energisation through to the asset's end-of-life.
- Collaborate closely with internal Engineering Design and Delivery teams and Network Operations to ensure a seamless transition from project delivery into ongoing commissioning and operational activities.
- Ensure industry-leading practices in grid-scale storage.
- Engage with broader industry developments to capture operational learnings and insights that enhance internal capabilities and support future commercial opportunities.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in engineering management or O&M leadership roles.
- Experience establishing or scaling teams and operational systems.
- Strong knowledge of commissioning and O&M for electrical infrastructure.
- Passion for renewable energy, innovation, and asset performance.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and commercial acumen.
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Recognised analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
