Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to lead our facilities team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality and well-maintained accommodation and services to our customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in facilities management, leadership, and team motivation. They will be able to develop rosters and staffing structures to ensure sufficient staff availability at appropriate skill levels.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promoting team performance in line with operational objectives.
  • Managing and motivating facilities staff, establishing an open and values-based culture.
  • Ensuring open communication between facilities and other teams to provide excellent service.
  • Developing and implementing safety protocols to promote a safe working environment.
  • Overseeing minor maintenance tasks and ensuring all equipment and tools are adequately maintained and controlled.

The successful candidate will have relevant trade qualifications, LF Forklift Licence, manual driver's license, and at least 3 years' experience in facilities management.

Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • LF Forklift Licence.
  • Manual Drivers License , Class C.
  • At least 3 years' experience in Facilities Management in a service, hospitality, or similar industry.
  • Leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance.
  • Ability to coordinate purchasing, financial, budgetary, and maintenance requirements.
  • Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., JDE).
  • Sound knowledge of horticultural practices and processes.
  • High level of general physical fitness and strength.
  • Basic computer skills, especially Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good knowledge of relevant chemicals, their storage, and application.
