Civil Estimator Position

We are seeking a seasoned Civil Estimator to join our team. As a key member of the business, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of challenging projects across multiple sectors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil construction and a proven track record of managing projects with high commercial acumen. They will be responsible for coordinating internal and external resources, preparing and submitting tenders, and evaluating tender and estimating processes for cost-effectiveness.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working on tenders and ensuring timely submission
  • Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve project objectives
  • Preparing budgets based on tender submissions and assessing contract variation orders
  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution

Project Overview

We deliver a wide range of projects including demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation, and rehabilitation. Our typical project values range from $2.5 million to $25 million, with some projects exceeding $50 million.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in civil construction project management, with a proven track record of delivering projects within budget and timeframe
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and high-level commercial acumen
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
