**Key Responsibilities**

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading blasting operations with precision and efficiency. This includes guiding and supporting the blast crew to enhance their performance and develop their skills. Additionally, they will oversee the maintenance and safety of all blasting equipment, maintain accurate records of blasting activities and inventory, and proactively solve technical and operational issues during blasting activities.

**Requirements**

To be considered for this role, applicants should have a solid background as a Shotfirer in quarrying or coal mines. Strong knowledge of explosives, blasting techniques, and safety procedures is essential. The ideal candidate will also possess relevant certifications and licenses required by regulatory bodies, leadership and team management skills, a can-do attitude, excellent communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.

**Benefits**

This role offers a competitive salary package, including FIFO from Townsville or Rockhampton or DIDO / BIBO options available, 7:7 rosters – work 6 months of a year, and fast-tracked training programs and regular career meetings.

**Estimated Salary:** AU$90,000 - AU$120,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
