Job Overview

The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) plays a vital role in our organisation. As an EMR Trainer, you will be responsible for ensuring end users comprehend and utilise new systems in their daily work.

You will need to be highly motivated and capable of working independently, as well as utilising the resources of your team appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within an ethically and legally sound framework, adhering to our policies and procedures, Code of Conduct and applicable legislation.
  • Provide IT skills commensurate with the requirements of the role.
  • Deliver training to End Users - orientation of new users, training new functionalities to existing users and providing ongoing support to identified users/user groups to ensure workflows are efficient and effective.
  • Trouble shoot and resolve issues in usage of the main clinical systems in use at the hospital.
  • Contribute to Continual Quality Improvement - identify workflow and/or system enhancements critical to the ongoing deployment of the EMR strategy.
  • Establish Liaison with Stakeholders - integration within intra and inter hospital networks working towards clinical system development.
