Professional in Mental Health

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Professional in Mental Health to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical interventions, mental health risk assessments, and treatment planning.

About the Role

This is an ongoing full-time role based in Parkville, offering a rotating roster with flexibility and work-life balance.

  • You will support the team on a shift-by-shift basis, leading clinical interventions and mental health risk assessment.
  • Escalation of care: liaise with other services within Orygen and community services.
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, share discipline-specific insight, supervision and training.
  • Work with lived experience workforce and families/carers to support young people with their recovery goals.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical interventions, mental health risk assessments, and treatment planning.
  • Liaise with other services within Orygen and community services to ensure seamless escalation of care.
  • Contribute to the development of effective treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2+ years' experience in mental health, including advanced clinical skills.
  • OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST, SOCIAL WORKER, REGISTERED PSYCHIATRIC NURSE or PSYCHOLOGIST with relevant registration and qualifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the mental health system of care, common mental health and substance use issues faced by young people, and evidence-based treatments for major adolescent health issues.
